- Command line: Run program as administrator by putting an asterisk * at the start of the command line. Files are opened via tcmadmin.exe /C command.
- ini [Packer] ExtNeverUppercase=1 never use uppercase archive extension when packing, even if the source name is all uppercase.

- ini [Configuration] XPMoveMethod=3 uses IFileOperation (separately for each file) to move files between directories on the same drive (very slow).
- Custom columns view: When sorting columns with string fields, put files with empty fields at the end instead of at the beginning.
- Create checksums: New button “Skip all” when a file cannot be opened for reading to calculate the checksum.
- Cm_MkDir now supports parameters /N=”Names(s)”, /G go immediately, /L0 just create, /L1 also position cursor on name, /L2 create and open.
- Send WM_USER+50 with WPARAM set to 1015/1016 (left/right) to get the current view mode: 0=brief, 1=full, 2=tree, 4=comments, 5=thumbnails, >=6 custom view mode.
- Do not switch to drive c: when IgnoreDirErrors=1 is set in wincmd.ini and a drive is removed or becomes inaccessible.

- Updated tcunzlib.dll and tcunzl64.dll to zlib 1.3.2.
- Updated tc7z.dll, tc7z64.dll, tcmdlzma.dll and tclzma64.dll to latest 7-zip version 26.0.0.0.
- Updated unrar.dll and unrar64.dll to latest version 7.20.0 (WinRAR 7.20).
- Brief view: Column width would sometimes change unintentionally (to exactly 2 columns), e.g. when resizing.
- Internal 7z packer: Show warning when deleting files after moving them to archive fails, e.g. because they are write protected.
- Find files, feed to listbox: Always set current directory to search base directory before copying/moving files, to handle relative paths.
- Drag&Drop file in archive from Total Commander to Explorer: Timestamp was incorrectly sent as last access time instead of last write time.
- Unpackers for the formats BZip2 and PPMd in ZIP archives didn’t support unpacking to RAM, which is needed for text search.
- Verify while copying: Increased the retries from 1 to 5 (up to 5 seconds wait) when the target file can’t be opened for verification after copying.
- Find files: When searching in a different FTP directory than the current path, “Feed to listbox” did not set that directory as new current directory.
- Lister, hex view: Selected text width could be different from not selected text width when characters had other than the default width in fixed width font.
- Lister, hex view: Starting selection by holding mouse down to the left of the hexadecimal values would result in wrong start position.
- Unpacking encrypted RAR with Alt+F9 failed when a different password was remembered from a previous unpack operation.
- Create CRC checksum for just one file: Check “Create separate checksum files for each file”, then “…each directory”, then unchecking it lost the base name.
- Could not read metadata from ogg files with header “OpusTags” instead of 03″Vorbis”.
- Lister: F2 didn’t cause a refresh when viewing an image.
- Creating ZIP archives with ZIP2.0 encryption was very slow due to usage of thread variables, especially in the 64-bit version.
- Accessibility: Some context menus and Lister’s main menu didn’t work with screen readers.
- Create CRC checksums: If CrcAppendExt=1 is set, append the checksum extension also when none of the “Create separate checksum” options is checked.
- New Folder (F7): List of previously created folders not updated when deleting entries and then creating a new folder with the name from the top of the remaining list.
- Dark mode: Drawing problems in tab header: some missing left borders in multi-line mode, tabs with custom background color missing bottom line, redraw error after draging a tab.
- Drive combobox (Alt+F1/F2): For accessibility (screen readers), return text “USB”, “Computer”, “Docs” and “Net” for special entries.
- Faster loading of very large directories by using a virtual listbox. If this causes problems with screen readers, set VirtualListbox=0 in wincmd.ini section [Configuration].
- Find files: Replace all slashes ‘/’ entered in the “Search in” field with backslashes ‘\’, except for FTP paths like 0:/home/user.
- Dark mode: Rubber band selection rectangle was barely visible -> use brighter color.
- “Duplicate name” error when switching between dark and light mode in Windows settings with dark mode option set to “Only when enabled for Windows 10 apps”, but only when there is a minimized Lister window.
- Use new faster ZIP unpacker also for archives where the compressed size is stored after the data (streaming archive), e.g. from Google Takeout.
- Multi-rename tool: The space for saved items was limited to 8191 characters (all names combined) – increased to 32767.
- Everything: Support UNC paths when getting folder sizes with option “Automatic, only with ‘Everything'” (UNC path needs to be configured in Everything too).
- Lister, Hex view: Show multi-byte characters split over two lines at the end of the first line.
- Lister: Do not change height of window when changing width and menu goes from 1 to 2 lines.
- Drag&Drop file in archive from Total Commander to Explorer: Only allow DROPEFFECT_COPY.
- Drag&Drop file from outside of Total Commander to a file panel with Ctrl+Shift pressed: EndOperation returned 0 instead of DROPEFFECT_LINK, dwEffect was ignored in Drop.
- Commands – Search: The option “Find files NOT containing text” didn’t work together with “Office xml”.
- Brief view: Use cursor left/right to navigate in quick search edit box instead of going to the previous/next column.
- Verify checksums: file names longer than 259 characters not working when the name in the checksum file started with ./ or .\.
- Auto view mode switching: When switching to a tab with an archive and that archive is gone, the view mode for archives was set by mistake.
- Find files, search for regular expression: pattern \D was not handled correctly in UTF-8 or UTF-16 searches.
- TAR archives: Symlinks to files were not handled correctly when located in a subdirectory. Their destination is relative to that subdirectory, not to the base of the archive.
- Synchronize dirs: Multi level exclude filter like *.*|”! PRIVE\POPPeeper\” “! PRIVE\TheBat!\” not working.
- Find files: Could not search in multiple file system plugin paths like \\\plugin1\path1 \\\plugin1\path2. Note: Feed to listbox only works when all paths are from the same plugin.
- Rename with Shift+F6: Text selection with F6 not always working correctly when using a locale with UTF-8 encoding.
- Internal 7z packer couldn’t re-pack file to header-encrypted 7z archive.
- Font “Segoe UI Variable Small Semibold” could not be used because of its long name.
- Edit boxes/Comboboxes: The automatic selection function of the Lazarus controls interfered with traditional Chinese IME when using the Enter key.
- Synchronize dirs: Compare two 7z archives with different passwords (also with encrypted names).
- System information: Support Unicode in Network – User name/Computer name/Workgroup fields.
- Do not save directory in which the user saved the current tabs (TabDir) when the directory didn’t change, to preserve environment variables.
- Opening a RAR archive containing multiple encrypted solid blocks with internal 7-Zip was asking for the password for each block.
